Rafiki Mwema

Rafiki Mwema is a non-governmental organization that deals with counseling, feeding and mentoring street children and street families. All stories start from somewhere, and for the Rafiki Mwema, the story started when Africa stole the herat of Sarah Rosborg, an Australian who vowedcto dedicate her life to help the beautiful yet vulnerable children she met in Kenya. Sarah founded Rafiki Mwema in 2012 and as of now Rafiki Mwema is like a home to over 1500 street children under different programs in Rafiki Mwema.

Support Kenyan Children through trauma by providing safety,future, education and hope.

DOYLE FARM
Doyle farm is a project of Rafiki Mwema.Rafiki Mwema basically existed to provide a safe, caring, therapeutic home and environment for the children in Kenya, who have experienced sexual abuse,violence and homelessness. To make this initiative successful Rafiki Mwema needed a place to house the children and also provide education for them. Sarah purchased the Doyle farm to be a safe space to the children that are rescued by this organization. There are currently 64 children living at Doyle farm as beneficiaries of Rafiki Mwema.

Outreach program
This program was intended to provide ongoing support and advocacy for the children who have reunited with their families. It involves:
1. Regular visits for those who have reunited with their families.
2. Providing support to care givers to ensure children's safety and health.
3. Advocating for children rights.
Rafiki Mtaani
Rafiki Mtaani literally translates to 'Friends on the Street'. This is a feeding program that was initiated In 2019 to provide a meals to the large number of homeless children and families. Initially they provided a weekly meal but after the reduction of food availability during the COVID-19 pandemic, the provision of food to these street children and families became a daily program.
They provide a hot healthy meal, provide first aid for those with injuries and illnesses,provide a secure shower  and grooming services to increase personal dignity for these children.
Rafiki Social
Rafiki Social was created to provide social enterprise opportunities for the street children who have become young adults and ready to be dissolved in the community. It was initially intended to assist the families in Rafiki Mwema's outreach program so that they are able to provide for the children returned to their care.
